  • May 25th 1 pm Dr. Amaarah DeCuir will lead a public conversation on how schools are responding to religious-based discrimination in schools. Link coming soon.
  • Strategic Planning Retreat in June. Shoulder to Shoulder’s staff and executive committee will be engaging in a strategic planning retreat this June.
  • South Dakota Voices for Peace and Shoulder to Shoulder Cohort of Courage for educators program (July 11–14th)specifically engages teachers, administrators, parents, and students. In that effort, we added a few additional videos from experts and invited speakers to the live sessions to share more on creating inclusive classrooms and responding to anti-Muslim discrimination on campus.

  • Public Leaders for Inclusion Council (PLC), a leadership development program that equips public servants in elected, appointed, and professional positions in local government to explore practices and policies that challenge anti-Muslim bigotry and other forms of hate while building inclusion and social resilience in their communities. 2022 application is now open. If you fit this description or you know someone who does, please share this application with them! It’s a short application form that all participants have to complete in order to be considered.   • ReThink Media is hiring a Program Director to lead our Rights & Inclusion team in elevating the voices of organizers, activists, and artists advocating for the rights of Black, Arab, Middle Eastern, Muslim, and South Asian (BAMEMSA) people across the country. This is a senior-level position for a motivated communications professional with a minimum of six or more years of experience working in the field of advocacy, political, or campaign communications.   • Multifaith Leadership Training Applications accepted through May 1, 2022 The Minnesota Multifaith Network (MnMN) is partnering with the Jay Phillips Center for Interreligious Studies at the University of St. Thomas to conduct a joint student and community Interfaith Fellows program. MnMN is now accepting applications to be one of five non-student community Interfaith Fellows from Minnesota, who will join five student Interfaith Fellows from the University of St. Thomas, to co-learn Interfaith Leadership.
