The Shoulder to Shoulder Campaign joins our Muslim neighbors, including our Shia Muslim neighbors, and the broader community throughout the nation in grief over the murders of four Muslim men in Albuquerque, NM — Mohammad Ahmadi (62), Aftab Hussein (41), Muhammad Afzaal Hussain (27), and Nayeem Hossain (25).

No one should live in fear of stepping out of their home, going to work, or to pray because of their faith, tradition, culture, or background. Intolerance, prejudice, and hate, regardless of the form it takes or who commits it, devastates our communities and impacts us all. As a national multifaith coalition-based campaign, Shoulder to Shoulder works to address, counter, and prevent anti-Muslim discrimination here in the U.S. We are grateful for both the local leaders in Albuquerque and the many national leaders who have uplifted messages of support for and alongside the Muslim community and who have called for unity. Shoulder to Shoulder recommits today and every day in our shared task of building a country that lives up to its ideals of religious freedom and pluralism. We will continue to connect, equip, and mobilize people of faith to be strategic partners in this essential work.
